HAHAHA

Love/Hate Relationship

I love panoramas, because they're so cool. They can make normal things become curvy, long, or otherwise unnatural. Unfortunately, I cannot think of a single thing to take a decent, meaningful pano of. Agh. Major brainstormin' tonight. Fa show.

I guess Slade's idea was nice. My hill. But I don't think I can correctly represent it. Agh. We'll see. I will try my best.

Panorama Assignment

This is my horizontal panorama. I used 10 pictures instead of five, I took it in Oregon. What now, friends? I think it's pretty good for my very first one EVER.

Michael Hughes - Souvenirs

Okay, it wouldn't let me upload the images, but this is so cool. A man named Michael Hughes did a series called "Souvenirs" in which he took souvenirs and held them over whatever they represented. It's so cool. My favorites are the Waterloo, Mickey Mouse, Sea World, Big Ben, and Abbey Road ones. So cool!
Uh, Slade claims that he showed this to us. But, he is delusional. And a big fat liar.

Jason Powell - Looking into the Past

These are some awesome shots by Jason Powell. He took pictures from the past and held them over the spot they were shot so long ago. I think it's really cool because it shows how times have changed, and how we've changed such beautiful, historically relevant things around us. This first one is exceptionally rad because there's a little buggy in the black and white photo, and then cars in the real shot. Cool, huh? On his flikr he's got what the place looks like without the photo, uh, superimposed into the scene.
I like this one because it's not about how the world as changed so much as how people have! I wish people still dressed like that, honestly. Ugh.
Watch the power line go all the way from the real world into the picture. Awesome! Also, the fact that there is a leaf hanging down in the picture where there is obviously no longer a tree is a little disheartening...in a good way.

Another Funny Joke

You know what sucks?
A vacuum.
You know what sucks metaphorically?
A black hole.
You know what just isn't cool?
Lava.

A Funny Joke

What did the dog say when he sat on sand paper?
Ruff!

Assignment 3

Assignment 3 - Time

Why I don't like abstract photography.

I was thinking about abstract photography, since I accidentally shot something like that... I was wondering about what I don't like about it. I figured it out.

I think it's much harder to photograph something in a way that portrays what it is, than it is to make it seem like something else. It's harder to photograph what it is, than what it isn't.

You know...?

"You know when you move your head so that you make somebody picks your nose on accident?"
"You know when you accidently put your nostril onto somebody's finger?"

Assignment 2 - Cont.

More leading lines that I found in Eugene, Oregon. Yeah, I'm cool. Always on the prowl for leading lines. ALWAYS.

Vent.

I get so pissed off when people put song lyrics as their status on facebook. It's like..stabby rip stab stab. I want to strange said person when I see it, even if they are my closest friend.

Really. It's so obnoxious. I can't stand it.

Assignment 2

Assignment 2 - Rhyming
So, my rhyme at first was "leading lines". As I was shooting, it slowly became "tall". Which ryhmes with "mall". Which rhymes with "small". Don't ask me how I got to the last picture. But it's freaking cool.

Ben Thomas - City Shrinker!

I found this artist who takes amazing pictures! They're of the real world, but he photographs it in a way that makes it look like a tiny model.

Bananarama

YEAH!

Panoramas I found - Part II

I think I prefer lengthwise panoramas because they make things look taller and larger and more interesting. This is awsome. Your eye literally walks right up the steps.
This is dark and spooky, but it almost looks sparkly and fairy-like.

I like this because it isn't about the roadway or the cars, it's about the sky. Light-Dark-Light. BITCHIN'!

Panoramas I found

I like this because it's technically a "landscape" or whatever, but there's a person in it. I want to put some people into my panoramas. In fact, I had an idea about maybe doing a panorama from a person, from the floor. Like, giant-making much?
These are my panoramas. I thought this one was pretty snazzy because it seems that it would be long and straight, but it twists and swirls. Also, the coolness of it, colorwise. Your eye follows the curve and hits.

This one is unique because it's nothing special, and nothing that probably couldn't be captured by one shot. That's what makes this so amazing. It's like, "Hey! Check out my curvy home!"
