A Photographer I found on deviantart.

I think that my favorite part of photography are diptychs. Any set of pictures that go together, actually. This one I found was really really beautiful. I want to start taking more diptychs and triptychs, actually.

*selfhaircuts

This is somebody I found on deviantart called "selfhaircuts." Does anybody see an assignment in this first picture? Maybe white on white? Looking through all of these pictures has given me some ideas for new ideas for portraits I can take, and other things like that.
I love how dark the background is of this picture, it makes the subject's light colors pop. Plus, I love that you can't tell who it is. It could be anybody, and it could be anywhere! I think that the cracked door, leaving a little stream of soft light is a cool touch, so that the background isn't so simple.
My critical eye is getting a lot better. For instance, the corner of white in the top left really bugs me, hahahaha. I do like how this picture is overexposed, though. It gives a feeling of bright, sunny, and light.

IDEA

Spring term I have some good ideas for my final photo project:

I could do fairy tales come to life. Like, maybe it's not all just in our heads. Maybe it is for some of us, but it doesn't have to be. A fairytale can exist no matter what we do.

Also, ONE. Solitude, and solidarity. One person, one tree, one anything. It's about being alone, and being one, and being by yourself.

I don't know if I use them, but I'm afraid I'll forget if I don't blog them.

A Poem

Torn disaster
Quiet is she
Whose pain
Was tragedy

Assignment 6 - One Shot

I'm pretty proud that I was able to pull this off with only one shot.
I really like that the tree arms are stationary when the background...isn't. At all.
